The page of cups is one of my favorite of the tarot cards. It is a person of creativity and wonder talking to his muse - his ideas - in this case represented by a talking fish. The water is the subconscious (also sometimes emotion). But here I think it's mainly the subconscious, where his ideas are born, and where they live in great abundance. Sometimes he comes face to face with one of them and is inspired. But it's even more than simple inspiration - the idea can communicate with him and tell its secrets, while he can ask questions and clarify his thoughts. It's not merely an intuitive flash, but a dialogue with creativity.

Sometimes I dream of fish as bright objects flashing through the ocean. Again, they seeem to be ideas, glowing with inspiration.
