Hi there
this is janet from western plains zoo in australia.
we have 2.2 brazilian tapir and i am inetersted in anything you might have
on mixed exhibits with brazilian tapirs. We currently mix braz. tapirs with
guanacos, patagonian cavies, rhea and capybara successfully - all breeding
groups. I am interested in investigating a mixture of braz. tapirs with
maned wolves and giant anteater. I know that this has been done with 2 of
the three each way but i have not heard of all 3. Brazil tapir and m. wolves
at audubon zoo and m. wolves and g. anteater at osnabrook zoo :). Has anyone
ever tried???
my email is janetg@crt.net.au

yours sincerely

The IUCN Tapir Specialist Group's newsletter (20 pages) has just been prited
for October, 1997. It's currently an annual issue. As mailing is expensive,
we're putting the entire contents on the web. I'm halfway through coding it,
and expect to have it finished in a few days. I'll keep everyone posted.
