Balloons and plush

Balloon and plush tapirs in the home of Carol and Mark Reid
Tapir photo © 1998 Carol and Mark Reid

Carol and Mark Reid of Canada sent us this photo about 1998. Mark Reid had the balloon tapir made for Carol's birthday. The others were collected. The largest and smallest plush tapirs are from Steiff in Germany; the middle one is "Violet" (once carried in the Tapir Gallery Gift Shop). None of these are being made any longer.

All tapirs are endangered species.
Saving tapirs helps save the rainforest.
