Dear Sheryl,
I wanted to share a few of the photos of the Malaysian Tapir that my class and I created. I had a wonderful, creative, and curious class of 4 and 5 year olds this year, and they picked up on my love and respect of not only tapirs, but all creatures. I sent these photos to share our beautiful creation, and to let you know that Mrs. Holsworth's class named their endangered Tapir "Todd." After your last name - your dedication has spurred them to learn more about the creatures of the earth who are becoming endangered. I hope you enjoy!!
"Todd" was made with slick paper (recycled), black paint, wiggle eyes, and recycled habitat from when we studied the rainforest. Thanks for your inspiration! My class named "Starfoot", a tapir from the gift shop, as our mascot, and took turns taking him home and caring for him! Keep up the wonderful work. We've decided to donate to Club Tapir - each child brings in ten cents toward the cause. We all must help, and children are true inspirations for us teachers!
God bless,
Deanne Holsworth
