A Baird's tapir on
a Costa Rican stamp

The Baird's tapir is called "Danta" in parts of its range. Tapirella is a genus name once used for this species. The very small print at the bottom says, "Gov. Printing Bureau, Tokyo."
All tapirs are endangered species.
Saving tapirs helps save the rainforest.
