Partial albino Baird's tapir

This Baird's tapir is a partial albino, born at the Tuxtla Gutierrez Zoo in Chiapas, Mexico. The slide was processed in January, 1976, but I don't know who the photographer was. It may have been sent to the Tapir Research Institute of Claremont, California, by the zoo's founder and director, Dr. Miguel Alvarez del Toro. The zoo is now named after him.
Most of the white is on the tapir's nose, and can be seen better in this picture. Here you can see white on part of the foot.
All tapirs are endangered species.
