Did you know that tapirs have been honored by having a team named after them? Yes, it's true! Many thanks to Joshua Bull for sending us this wonderful picture of the Tenacious Tapirs in tapyramid formation. They are a flag-football team from Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania. Team members pictured are Super Dinch, Matt Hahn, Josh Bull, Eric Dougherty, Andy Kretlow, AJ Brown, Justin Inners, Matt Scoggan, Scott Dicken, Christopher Grimes. Zach Eyster and Brian Ramos are missing from the photo.

The Tenacious Tapirs ended their season with two wins and two losses. However, their greatest claim to fame may be their invention and perfection of "the tapyramid." Should it be copyrighted? Please join us in wishing the Tenacious Tapirs continued success in the future.

The team's beautiful t-shirts were purchased (at a team discount) from Tapir and Friends Wildlife Gift Shop.

All tapirs are endangered species.
Saving tapirs helps save the rainforest.
