Thanks to two very generous donations of money for the Ruben Nuñez fund over the 1997/1998 Christmas-New Year's holiday, we can insure that Ruben's salary will be paid for several more months. One donation was made by Sari Mikkonen, a Finnish writer living in Australia; the other donor wishes to remain anonymous. Thanks to both of you, and to the many who have bought items from the Tapir Gallery Gift Shop, we have been are able to help support this important conservation program. And, we'll be bringing you more details soon.
At first, Ruben's salary ran from mid-month to mid-month. We changed this in October to payment by calendar month. Past months have been paid by the following:
