Funding Table

Major funding sources for the Tapir Preservation Fund are your individual and corportate donations, our Tapir and Friends Online Gift Shop, Club Tapir Program. We also channel pass-through donations in which a Principal Investigator submits a proposal to a funding body and we accept the money and pass it along to the person who wrote the proposal. These cases will be indicated in the table below. We have on occasion been funded via proposals to zoos written by TPF on behalf of a Principal Investigator. We have relied very little on proposals, choosing to raise funds and donations from the public and our online sales. We are pleased to be able to contribute to tapir conservation and research thanks to your generosity and support. The Tapir Preservation Fund is a 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit Organization. Your donations may be tax-deductible. Note that the "Amount" column does not total the amount seen on the bottom line. We've included some of the larger donations in this table although they are dispersed in smaller segments as noted in the "Recipient" column.
