Our Plastic Cockatoo

Our realistic-looking plastic cockatoo replica is is somewhat flexible. It stands firmly on the ground with its wings outstretched,but you can bend the feet, wings and tail. They will spring back to the original position, but the flexiblity and rubber-like surface insure that they are not likely to scratch or injure a child. This toy cockatoo could be useful to cockatoo collectors, as a gift to a child to help teach them about animals, as part of a school diorama, or as a bit of decor for your home. The miniature cockatoo's lifelike appearance makes it one of the items we refer to as "museum-quality," as you might find this bird in a museum diorama or gift shop. About Cockatoos

The sulphur-crested cockatoo (Cacatua galerita) is found in Australia and parts of New Guinea. They are numerous and, although they prefer woodlands, sometimes they inhabit cities and are often viewed as pests.. They grow up to 22 inches are white, with yellow on the underwing and black feet and beak. They are distinguished by a noisy call. Sulphur-crested cockatoos live up to 70 years in captivity and 20 to 40 years in the wild. They coat themselves in a white powder to waterproof themselves, rather than oil.
