We absolutely love this beautifully designed, colorful turkey puppet made by Folkmanis. Our turkey puppet is a super-soft and cuddly stuffed animal friend and a distinctive Thanksgiving holiday table decoration as well. It measures 19 inches from wing to wing, 18 inches from comb to the end of its tailfeathers, and sits 8 inches tall. The hand pouch is comfortably lined including a special finger pocket to move the turkey's neck. The rich plumage is adorned in three shades of brown, bright red, orange and white. He brings joy to your home.

The wild turkey (Meleagris gallopavo) is native to North America and is one of its largest birds. They can be up to 4 feet long and have a wingspan of up to 5 feet. Many weigh as much as 20 pounds. They also carry as many as 6,000 feathers. Unlike domestic turkeys, they fly remarkably well up to speeds of 50 miles per hour for short distances close to the ground. They vocalize a surprisingly large number of sounds other than the common gobble, gobble. Turkeys are omnivores and feed on seeds and grasses as well as on occasional small rodents. They have adept eyesight. The turkey's range has been impacted by increased human population. They are still hunted today but are carefully managed in order to maintain their population.
