These 3-D (three dimensional) puzzle animals are some of the more detailed we have seen, making them an interesting replica as well as a fun toy for grown-ups and children above the age of 3. The 24 pieces are cleverly fitted, flexible, and not too difficult to assemble. This tiger puzzle measures 3 3/4 inches long from head to tail tip and stands 2 inches tall. See our other 3-D Puzzle animals here. Be sure to look over our other tiger toys and gifts.

The tiger (Panthera tigris) is the world's largest cat and the largest meat-eating land mammal. Their striped coats range in color from reddish-brown to rust-brown with a white underbelly. The stripes can be black, brown or gray. No two tigers have the same pattern of stripes. A recessive gene is the cause of the rare white or black coat color. This powerful and solitary predator once roamed widely throughout Asia. At the beginning of the last century, there were an estimated 100,000 tigers in the wild. Today, between 5,100 and 7,000 remain. Three of the eight subspecies of tiger have become extinct in the last three decades. The five remaining subspecies live in small islands of forest surrounded by a sea of humanity. Relentless poaching and habitat loss continue to threaten their existence.
