This wonderful creation is soft and cuddly. Note the detailed stitching on the fins and tail. The whiskers, called barbels, are made of soft, floppy material. Although he is floppy and flexible, he is not posable. From nose to tail tip this Blue Catfish toy measures 22 inches (almost 2 feet!) in length, making it nearly life size.

The largest member of the catfish family, the Blue Catfish (Ictalurus furcatus) can be found on the sandy, gravelly or rocky bottoms of big swift rivers. They average around 2 feet in length and 50 pounds; however, they are known to reach up to 5 1/2 feet and 100 pounds. Like all catfish they have no scales on their smooth skin. Their eyes are very small so they rely on their extremely sensitive barbels to find food. Be sure to look over our other stuffed fish toys.
