Meet "Walter the Friendly Crocodile". Walter is a 36-inch (that's 3 feet!) saltwater crocodile whose foam rubber stuffing makes him lightweight and very huggable. And, he has no claws on his large, soft feet to scratch or poke you. Walter comes with an informational tag in English, French, German and Spanish. One look at his charming face with its soft felt teeth shows that Walter, unlike real saltwater crocodiles, is definitely more friendly than fierce. Walter would love to become your child's bedtime snuggle buddy; although he wouldn't object to being a quirky body pillow for a child-at-heart grown-up.
Saltwater crocodiles (Crocodylus porosus) are the world's largest reptile, growing up to 20 feet long at maturity. Their coloring is brown or gray with a whitish or creamy underside and gray on the underside of the tail tip. Their flanks are usually marked by stripes or darker colored bands. They also have webbed back feet. This mostly aquatic reptile is generally found in Indo Pacific areas where seawater meets freshwater, although they can also be found in entirely saltwaters or entirely freshwaters.
