A native of the Caribbean Islands, rhinocerous iguanas (Cyclura cornuta) can be found mainly in coastal areas in dry, rocky forests. One of the larger members of the iguana family, they can grow up to 4 feet in length and weigh up to 22 pounds. Their name comes from the horn-like growths on their nose and the round, fleshy crowns on the back of their head. As with all cold-blooded reptiles, the majority of their time is spent basking in the sun.Our rhinocerous iguana is made of hard plastic and measures 3 7/8 inches from nose to tail. Although the legs and tail are somewhat flexible, it is not posable. Its name is moulded into the underside. This plastic rhino iguana is great for school projects, toys, novelties, animal collections, party favors and more. You can make a wonderful Caribbean Island diorama using this and other plastic creatures from our gift shop.
