This shirt was designed by the Tapir Preservation Fund using a drawing made in 1968 by Robert A. Wilson of the Tapir Research Institute of Claremont, California. Stanley K. Tapir was drawn from a photo when he had just arrived and was only a couple of months old. No, he doesn't have a saddle, he's a Brazilian tapir (Tapirus terrestris). The light color on his back is the light coming through the window. He was drinking milk out of a bowl when the photo was taken. Unfortunately, the photo no longer exists, but this drawing does. It is copyrighted and used by permission.

The colors scanned well, so what you see is very close to what you'll get. This no-pocket shirt is an all-cotton pre-shrunk fabric. The shirt color is "natural," the tapir is printed in dark brown. The only text on this shirt is very small. It says, "© Tapir Preservation Fund" and "Drawing by Robert A. Wilson."
