Lowland tapirs in the Zagreb Zoo, Croatia

This photo was sent to us by Dr. Werner Haberl, shrew expert and creator of The Shrew (-ist's) Site. You might be asking what shrews and tapirs have in common. Well, they both have attractive, long noses. Werner is a friend who likes to help by sending tapir-related items when he finds them. We're not sure about the original source of the photo, but we think it should be credited to the Zagreb Zoo.

All tapirs are endangered species.
Saving tapirs helps save the rainforest.
