Mona, a Baird's Tapir

At about a month old and weighing around 30 pounds, a baby tapir is already built like a little tank.

When confused or frightened they often charge headlong into anything that might provide cover.

Note the white spots between her eyes. These will disappear very soon.

All tapirs are endangered species.
Saving tapirs helps save the rainforest.
