Letters are normally posted in English so that the largest number of people can read them. However, if your purpose would be served best by posting in another language, we can do that. If you post in another language, please let us know in English the general subject of the letter or give a very brief synopsis for the other list members. We encourage everyone to post. For many, English is not the first language and we understand that! We believe in communication any way that we can do it. |

The Tapir Talk e-mail list . . .
Tapir Talk Digest - 25 November 1998 - Vol. 2, No. 62
We always try to remember to send Tapir Talk out using blind copy, but occasionally all of the e-mails are accidentally included when we send.
The list is not moderated unless there is an extreme situation that
warrants it, such as an inappropriate person getting onto the list. If this
happens, the person will be warned, and if problems persist, will be removed
from the list (We have found those interested in tapirs to be wonderful,
honest, and thoughtful people, and the caliber of list members has reflected
this).
Introductions, information and questions are all encouraged. Unless you specify otherwise, we will use your sign-up letter as an introduction to the list. One of the main purposes of this list is for members to get to know each other and and their interests or expertise.
2. To post to the list after receiving confirmation of membership, write to the same e-mail as above (tapirtalk@uol.com.br), using the words "Tapir Talk" in the subject line. For instance,
Subject: Tapir Talk: Question about feeding
Your whole message, including header and signature, will be added to the
daily digest.
Please spread the word to any colleagues you
think would be interested in this subject and format.
We originally
intended to post all messages in the archives promptly, but due to time
constraints we usually run behind. We appreciate your patience.
3. To
be removed from the list after one month since your inscription,
simply send us a message with the subject "remove Tapir Talk".
You will be removed immediately and will receive a confirmation letter. This
usually happens within 24 hours of when you wrote.
Thank
you very much for your interest.
Yours truly,
