An Asian tapir and her baby
in the forest

An Asian tapir and her baby. This is a black-line wood engraving I copied from a book in the Zoological Library at Pomona College in Claremont, California. Unfortunately, I didn't record the name of the book, but I believe it was originally printed in Germany. The artist has done a beautiful job of capturing the rounded body shapes of the tapirs.
All tapirs are endangered species.
Saving tapirs helps save the rainforest.
